OUR TEAM
Sara oversees Neva’s day-to-day activity including operations, investment management, and estate planning. Sara’s investment role involves cash, liquidity, allocation, and external investment relationship management. She assesses all new investment opportunities. Sara also leads estate planning, working closing with external partners to create and manage legal structures and tax planning. She acts as Trustee on multiple family trusts and coordinates financial management among family members. In addition, Sara operates as CEO for family-held businesses and leads direct real estate development efforts.
Sara has over 10 years of experience in alternative investing, including real estate investment and development, quantitative securities trading, hard-money lending, and early/growth stage venture investing.
Sara is based in Marin County, CA and splits her time between our San Rafael and Nevada offices.
Sara has a B.A. in English from University of California at Berkeley.
As a Principal investor and family member, Will provides the investment philosophy and strategy guidance for Neva’s investment and operational activities. In addition, Will oversees Neva’s Nevada real estate investment activity. With over thirty years of investment experience, Will also currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Parthenon Capital, a $5 billion middle-market private equity firm, and was previously an original Partner of GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a private equity firm in Chicago.
Will’s ambition is to create an enduring structure that can provide ongoing financial management and estate planning for multiple generations, currently including his mother and three daughters, and charitable giving through the Kessinger Family Foundation. The name Neva not only represents the snowy mountains of his home state of Nevada but also the name of the Kessinger’s first family dog, who was raised alongside his daughters.
Will is based in Glenbrook, Nevada.
Will received B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School with high distinction as a Baker Scholar.
Violette works closely with the management team in the development and execution of short and long range strategic and operational initiatives. Violette is responsible for managing a number of key functions within the firm, including financial and tax reporting, issue resolution, and the coordination with strategic partners.
Prior to joining Vformation in 2012, Violette worked for over twenty years in business development and administration in the private equity, investment management, and legal sectors. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Legal Studies and an M.A. in International and Multicultural Education with a concentration in Human Rights Education from the University of San Francisco.
